We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. The pros…assembly was not overly difficult, the finish is well done, the narrower and wider shelves are a nice feature as is the ability to choose what the shelving width sequence is (semi customizable in that regard). The cons…although the shelves seem sturdy, the metal shelf frame structure that the shelves rest on appears to be flimsy and that is before items are even placed on the shelves.
