This is perfect for my needs, I just wanted something that looked nice but also was functional. The color is a very nice gray and it fits the small space I had. It is hard but not that uncomfortable. This is a small sofa (no legs) but perfect for what I needed it for...I have it in our basement family room against a wall and have the pillows on top of the back of the couch for support. This will be very handy when we have lots of family over at Christmas. The 2 lower cushions are separate, but a twin sheet fits around it so it would be easy to sleep on without the cushions separating. It would be handy if the 2 top cushions had clips that would keep the 2 cushions together in case someone would want to sleep on that part. I had concerns about buying an assemble-it-yourself sofa, but after the furniture store sofa I ordered didnt fit through my dumb, narrow, 100-year-old doors, I warmed up to the idea. No complaints so far. Comfortable, sturdy, easy to assemble, and good quality materials. Not sure Id mistake the material for real leather, but it has a good feel to it and its easy to maintain.
