Coming out of the box it is lumpy, but after only a few hours you can see how well it fills out. Does have a plastic odor, compared to the smell of a sharpie, but seems short lived. My daughter is 5ft 8in, and the picture is taken right after unboxing, so still not to full fuf capacity. Highly recommend!!! My son is 6ft 5in and lays comfortably on it too. We love this chair and so does the cat. We bought it for our grandson to use beside his new bookshelf but the cat had to use it first. I like the handle and I know our grandson will too as he likes to drag things around. I like the option of refilling it and washing it up should it get dirty. It's a great size and it came filled (rather plump) for his use. No issues with the seams or the zipper (it came without the pulley but you're supposed to use a paperclip to get it open)- they all looked good and the bag came in a cardboard box. We bought this for our 9 year old daughter's birthday. She loves it but it is huge and a little stiff. She leans it up against the wall and then reads while she's on it. When it arrived the package was open, which I didn't like but I washed the cover before putting it on the bean bag and it did wash well on hand wash cycle and a light air dry in clothes dryer so that's a plus. We roll it from room to room as it is too big and bulky to carry.
