This is my review for the vanity stool that I just purchased from Wayfair. It came quickly and I had it put together in just a short time. All parts matched together perfectly so there was no trouble on that front. The stool is a sharp true white which is good for me as so often things sold as white are actually shades of cream and my cabinets are shiny white. The seat is also white and is covered in a faux leather so reasonably comfortable. The legs are wood and have a nice, curved design to them which helps as otherwise the stool is very plain. It seems to be sturdy, and the directions say it can hold 300 pounds. I’m a bit skeptical on that point as the stool is quite small. I can’t imagine a larger person sitting on it comfortably. It is low to the ground, which works for me as it fits easily under my vanity and as that is its primary use it makes sense. It will be easy to clean, and I like the fact that the seat is not fabric which can get dirty quickly. I think the price is ok for this stool so there is no negative on that point. The chair is terrific. It is the perfect height for a makeup table, is sturdy and pretty. The assembly was a challenge without the right tool. Once we found the 7/16 wrench to hold the bottom nut so the top screw could be tightened, it was a cinch. I highly recommend that Wayfair send the proper tool to make it easier to assemble or customers can buy the 4 inch long 7/16 wrench and save your money for professional assembly. This chair is very sturdy, solid, well made, very nice. I’m sure I will enjoy it for many years. HOWEVER, I’ll only giving it four stars—and I seriously considered three stars—because in the specifications it said “no assembly required,” and that’s not true. There is assembly required. The chair comes in two pieces, and you have to connect the seat and back to the leg frame using four bolts. There were no instructions and no tools included. Not a problem I’m sure for people who usehave lots of different tools and tighten bolts often, but I’m not that person. I had to 1) figure out which way the bolts went, and 2) dig around my house to find the right combination of tools that would fit and tighten the bolts down. This took several tries, a couple of hours, and a lot of stress. Seems like for 200 you could throw in an instruction illustration and a couple of tools to tighten down the bolts.
