More blue in it than I realized, but it’s a soft rug.

I ordered this rug because I really love the colors. But know that it does have a shiny sheen to it. If you run your hand one way over it, it creates a lighter sheen. If you run it the other way, it creates a darker sheen. Looks a tad funny right after being vacuumed. That said, we have it in a room that doesn’t get sunlight directly on the rug and it doesn’t bother me. I also purchased it because it was OEKO-TEX certified, ensuring that it was free from a lot of chemicals. Well, the chemical smell of this rug was STRONG. I vacuumed it every day and left all the windows open and after a week I have hope that it will eventually fade away. However, I recommend that if you can, to hang it outside for a day and let it air out at the very least. It really is a strong strong smell. All of that said, it was a great price and had the muted, neutral colors I was looking for, which I couldn’t find in any other rug. I am happy with the look it brings to my room with neutral colors both warm and cool tones.

Returned instantly. The color only shows if the fabric is a specific direction. If you walk on it and move the fabric you can see foot prints clear as day, especially if there’s any direct light on it. After looking at it for 5 minutes I knew it’d drive me absolutely nuts. Would need to vacuumed/brushed all the same direction. I truly can’t put in words how much I hated this. Would give 0 stars if an option.
