Works for me, but I would have been really upset if I had paid full price. Majority of the pieces had some sort of damage that could have been solved with better packing. The backing is pretty flimsy and has really visible creases that I couldn't smooth out. I covered the back with wallpaper bc I thought it was cute. The laminate is pretty thin and seems to be easily damaged. Overall satisfied with it, but I would have preferred something a bit more elevated. Just hard to find a good balance of price and value.. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. the bookcase is great. the color is slightly off from the pictures but i expected that based on reviews and it matches my other furniture as a result. maybe have more ergonomic philips head screwdriver ready because the one it comes with hurt my palm quite a bit. only complaint is the mechanism to keep the bookshelf from tilting was confusing. im just going to get a different earthquake strap..
