This console wine table was hand-made from elm around the early 20th century by a craftsman from Shanxi province, a province with a rich history and culture in the Northern part of China. The top shows age-proper patinas, dents, knots, naturally aged lines, spots, and wear and tears. The restoration of this antique table from the countryside of Shanxi Province is kept to a minimum intentionally. Four elegantly shaped legs, ending in horse hoof feet and humpback stretchers. All joints are still firm and tight. A fine example of traditional Chinese joinery: Every piece of wood is calculated to interlock seamlessly to provide structural strength and enhance the beauty of the design. This table with its original brown color, and beautiful aged top will make an astonishing wine table, accent table, or console table in a hallway, entryway, living room, or dining room.
