Gentlemen Upholstered Armchair

From an era when gentlemen routinely "retired to the drawing room" to sip cognac and discuss the politics of the day, the wide-seated comfort of this plush, oversized chair beckons the return to a bygone era. Deeply hand-carved acanthus embellishes the massive, solid mahogany back, arms, and legs, testifying to the fact that they require a full week of carving by a master artisan. The lush, hand-tacked, maroon, and antique gold brocade upholstery makes this Design Toscano-exclusive investment in furniture art as beautiful as it is comfortable.
