Best Globes With Reviews

This is a gift for my daughter’s birthday. She does a lot of traveling, and mentioned that she would like to have a globe so she could track where her destination is located, and some thing about the area. I know she will love it, and I checked out many, and decided this was the one that would fit her needs. It’s colorful it has raised lettering and a lot of detail.

Very attractive and informative. Wanted to see the world at a glance. When the news announces different places, want to know were that place is, and this globe has done that for me. Like the raised mountain ranges. My grandchildren even take notice and ask questions about different places. Good investment.

I am overall happy with this globe ! It looks really nice and is easy to read . It is really a light weight though , so I wish it had a little more substance to it , I hope it withstands being in a household of three small children . I did purchase this not only to look good , but to have a purpose of teaching my kids about the world too ! Time will tell !!!

I've wanted a floor globe for years. I kept putting if off, but I'm so glad I finally ordered it. Wayfair had a huge variety to choose from. I have a son with disabilities and he loves maps, so I knew a floor globe would bring an exciting new conversation piece to the living room. I am looking forward to hours of pleasure with our new floor globe. Thank you Wayfair!

This was a gift. I was surprised to see that the globe lit up, and initially I though that was pretty corny, but one I took a look at it, the internal glow was wonderful. Anyone who travels or wants to know where places really are needs a globe. Wonderful addition to my apartment.

Beautiful globe and addition to my home office. Easy to assemble. Special Note: Children should be monitored when using globe; my granddaughter's little fingers were caught between globe and metal band while she was spinning the globe.

My husband had a blue globe when he was younger and it got smashed over the years. After I trashed it, he still talked about, so I bought him this one for Christmas. It is gorgeous, I know he will love it as much as I do. It will add sophistication to our office, especially when luminated. (Kinda glad I got rid of his old one). I *LOVE* my new toy. The stand is very sturdy metal, and the four feet are all perfectly stable on my floor. (It's a major pet peeve of mine when one foot is off on a piece of furniture or accessory, leaving it wobbly, as is all too often the case.) The texture of the physical representation of the mountains is just large enough to be seen (or felt) clearly, without looking ludicrously exaggerated. And it arrived three days ahead of the projected delivery range. One thing prospective purchasers shld b aware of: for some mysterious reason, the globe is weighted, so if you try to rotate the globe on its horizontal axis, it will always right itself so the gimbals are at a 90° angle. If you want to keep it at a tilted axis, you'll have to use thread or tape to hold the inner gimbal ring in place at your preferred angle. Also: if you haven't shared yr e-mail addy with Wayfair, I urge you to consider doing so. Their algorithms obvsly noticed I'd been spending time looking at globes, and I got an e-mail alerting me to an excellent sale price that I would've missed otherwise. That's some good marketing.

This globe is beautifully made and is clearly high quality. Its just what we were looking for. The combo of wrought iron and solid wood gives it a very classy look. The maps are clear to read and it spins smoothly. We give it a spin every day and point without looking, then look up info about the locale. Makes me want to go to Kathmandu, Nepal!

This is a well-made, accurate globe with a raised relief to represent topography like mountain ranges. My one complaint is that the color of the holder looks a little darker in the online picture as though it were an antique brass finish, and the actual color is bright golden (spray-painted steel?), so uniform in color that it almost looks plastic. There is also a small blue plastic disk at the top of the holder that isn't shown in the picture. This is still very good; as an object of decor, it's not quite what I wanted.

We're happy with our globe. The wrought iron stand is nice, and the globe spins smoothly inside it. The globe seems to be of good quality with up-to-date territory lines... there are a few minor details that add to the antique look of the globe -- the design of the legend and pictures of a few small historic ships on the waters (the pictures are discreet, though -- not noticeable at first glance). I don't have anything negative to say, except that I couldn't find the model number of the globe on the box, which I was supposed to write on the warranty so that if we want to update the globe in a few years, we'd know which one we started with.

I had this on my wish list for over a year. Wayfair lived up to its name-WAY FAIR. They honored my request to grant me the sale price two days after I had purchased it at full price. I just love how this high quality globe fits in its place enhancing the elegance in my formal room.

Got this globe as a decorative item for my new built-ins in my office/library. Going for coastal modern look with a travel theme, and this fit the bill perfectly with its silver and blue colors! I had to request a replacement for the original globe delivered because it was all scratched up, but Wayfair processed a replacement promptly. I’d recommend!

The actual globe is a bit small which makes it hard to read. That said my 3 year old granddaughter loves to look at the “world”! Would recommend but if it is for a student you may want something bigger.

I really like this marble globe. It's really well made and looks like it will last a long time. I like the vintage look it gives to the room and its excellent quality overall. I'm very happy with it.

Its a cool little globe. Not quite as big as I envisioned but thats ok its just an accent piece and is not meant to be used as a globe for any purpose beyond looking good on a table or shelf.

It is to be a birthday present surprise for my dad, but I am sure he will love it. He has always wanted one and being our old home had a super small living room space I could never buy him one and now thank God their new home has a nice living room he will be able to enjoy it. So we will see his reaction next month

Oh my goodness. I have wanted a globe for so long and all of the ones I come across just look cheap and poorly made. I was a little skeptical of ordering one online (especially since this was my first order from Wayfair), since I couldn't see it in person. I am seriously SO happy I bought this globe though. The colors are lovely; the base is sturdy. The metal globe holder is antiqued and just rounds out the whole thing. The other thing I love is the detail on the globe. So good for planning our next travel experience! Love love love it. Delivery a little earlier than expected, too. Yay.
