An antique brass and black metal base is the foundation upon which this globe is built. The 12'' antique ocean desktop globe features a calibrated semi-meridian.

This is a beautiful globe and the city names are large enough for me to read without my glasses yay!. Laura. Santa Fe, NM. Tue Sep 01 2026

This 12'' antique ocean globe with numbered die-cast meridian features a magnificently detailed resin eagle with a bronze finish and gold accents.

I like this piece but one of the wings on the eagle broke off. Had to glue it back on.. David. Deer Isle, ME. Fri Apr 10 2026

Get a closer look at the world, thanks to the gyro-matic mounting that swings up or down to bring any area into closer view. Vivid map to help easily distinguish political boundaries. Numbered full-meridian and gyro assembly.

This is a well-made, accurate globe with a raised relief to represent topography like mountain ranges. My one complaint is that the color of the holder looks a little darker in the online picture as though it were an antique brass finish, and the actual color is bright golden (spray-painted steel?), so uniform in color that it almost looks plastic. There is also a small blue plastic disk at the top of the holder that isn't shown in the picture. This is still very good; as an object of decor, it's not quite what I wanted.. Mary. Boston, MA. Wed Jun 06 2018

Boasting a classic, enduring appeal, this globe will certainly be admired. Its gracious combination of antique-ocean 12'' globe ball, solid hardwood base with rich walnut finish, and painted die-cast semi-meridian make this globe the perfect choice for any setting.

Really fun purchase and great educational tool. The only issue I have is that it came with a couple minor scratches already on it, which for $90, is not acceptable; however my kids like it so much, I didn't think it worth the energy to return it (I'm thinking with a 4 & 7 year old, it will receive other scratches anyway!).
