This is a fantastic quality bronze sculpture of an Art Deco dancing lady. This large heavy bronze is entitled Phoenician Dancer and was sculpted by Demetre Chiparus. Chiparus's work was heavily influenced in the 1920s by the art of ancient Egypt and the unveiling of King Tutankhamen's tomb. You can see the creativity and the inspiration of Egyptian art in this piece. She extends her arms out and poses in a theatrical pose. She stands on her toes and dances with her legs close together and bent. This is an extremely detailed piece right down to the tone of her stomach muscles. This sculpture was handmade and has a brown patina. It is signed by Chiparus and is mounted on an art deco-styled black marble base. Demetre Haralamb Chiparus was a Romanian Art Deco era sculptor who lived and worked in Paris. He was born in Romania, the son of Haralamb and Savita. In 1909 he went to Italy, where he attended the classes of Italian sculptor Raffaello Romanelli. In 1912 he traveled to Paris to attend the Ecole des Beaux-Arts to pursue his art at the classes of Antonin Mercie and Jean Boucher. Demetre Chiparus died in 1947 and was buried in Bagneux cemetery, just south of Paris.

The noble maiden sits in a chair holding a shield and a cornucopia in the other arm. She stares out as though posing for a portrait with a majestic lion at her feet giving a combined regal air. The handmade bronze sculpture was molded using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. It is mounted upon a black marble base with the European bronze finery stamp of quality and the artist Milo`s signature. The artist Milo lived most of his childhood in Andalusia, Spain. Influenced by their artistic family background, he began sculpting at the age of seventeen. After apprenticing with several accomplished sculptors both in America and Spain, he began his own work focusing equally on steel and bronze.

A mother's love is a universal concept between mankind and wildlife. In this sculpture, a puppy cuddles up against his mother to drink milk. He nuzzles his head beneath her, while his sibling crawls over her back. He peers over his mother's round stomach and looks for a place to fit. The mother looks out into the distance, her watchful eyes seeing any and everything that moves. The pups are a spitting image of their mother, with her round nose and floppy ears. 100% bronze and handmade, this brown patina sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method' and is signed by Moigniez.

This adorable baby wolf doggy is a keeper, he looks at you with the deepest and pure eyes that are full of love. His tongue is sticking out as he is trying to insinuate that he is a bit thirsty. His fur only wraps around his face, neck, and his tail while the rest of his body fur is short. He is still a little baby and loves to play all day. This sculpture was cast using the ancient old "Lost Wax Method" stained in brown patina finish for preservation, 100% handmade and 100% bronze, he is signed by the artist Barye.
