Cute, but no instructions as to how you are supposed to stick your hand way inside to insert the battery. You can't see the battery compartment really, so no idea which end is which with respect to the battery. I ended up pretty much "removing" the clock to see what I was doing. I managed to get the clock back in its position place, but it was difficult; trial and error. Not a user-friendly design feature. Also, the clock face itself is at a considerable slow to conform to the slope of the kettle, I guess. In my opinion, the clock could have jutted out more and closer to a 90-degree angle, this improving viewing of the clock face. I ordered the 3 piece alarm modern and contemporary tabletop clocks which arrived in a few days. The clocks colors are blue, green and pink. They have gold-colored 2 legs and a stand on the back to hold the clock up. They are approximately 6 tall and round. The minute hand has the numbers in 5 minute increments. Overall, it’s a very nice retro style clockradioalarm. The speaker sounds decent enough for what it is and connectivity to Bluetooth is easy and seamless. Once set, time stays accurate, and while it doesn’t specifically state, it seems to have some sort of battery back-up as time stayed accurate during a power outage. Only knock is that the radio tuning is not selectable to a specific frequency- it runs a scan at 1st use and then you scroll through a memory of “found” stations to tune in. If you place it in a spot with bad reception, you have to move it, plug it back in, and scan all over again. The clock arrived promptly, so that was nice. Not sure if the plastic cover was supposed to be detached from the clock's face, but that's how it arrived. The clock works just as the listing says it should. It is nice and compact (2 1/2" square, as described), well-assembled (no gaps in the seams), the low-luminescence setting is good and the back is not visually distracting (as was the case with similar products). One note for potential buyers: the front, top and sides of the "black" clock are actually wood-grained charcoal grey plastic. Only the back is black. I will keep it because the clock's size, design and functionality were my priorities.
