Time format is standard time and military time (12/24HR) switchable.the battery function for this bedroom alarm clock will trigger the alarm during power outage, take no risk of missing your vital schedule. Looks nice. I especially like the dimmer feature that lets you reduce the brightness of the numbers. It is, of course, not really wood although it has a wood grain look. Have only had a week so I can’t speak to longevity but it is an attractive clock.. P. Austin, TX. Mon Aug 24 2026

When Piet Hein Eek started his Tube series for LEFF amsterdam, his starting point for the Tube Clock’s dial was an extrusion ring. Extrusion moulding is a design technique that involves forcing materials through a mould, the extrusion profile is what gives the material its shape. Piet Hein devised a ring like that for the design of the clock face. A good idea can be surprisingly simple – often the simplest solutions have not yet been invented. This clock could have been designed a century ago, it’s actually a textbook example of LEFF Amsterdam’s philosophy: the idea of keeping things normal and down-to-earth, but still extraordinary. The alarm and snooze function are situated in the back of the Tube to not disrupt the design.

Really cool looking clock with a serious design DEFECT. Impossible to remove battery cover in order to insert battery. It's plastic and the slot for twisting cover off strips on the first try to open it. Useless item. Returned.. Rita M. US. Wed Mar 27 2024
