AA quality, beautiful highly polished Orbicular Jasper Freeform from Madagascar. This stone has very large and crisp orb patterns within a matrix of clear quartz and jasper. The orb patterns within Orbicular Ocean Jasper are formed by chalcedony that grows around a central nucleus, creating a small stone in and of itself within the larger mass of rock. The orb markings are associated with the symbolism of the circle/sphere which is traditionally symbolic of wholeness, perfection, and time, a complete and whole geometric shape without an obvious beginning or end. What we received was hardly close to what is shown. It is being returned and a replacement has been ordered to replace it. So this is a statement on what was received for the first order. The pictures on the website show a lot of color in the acrylic and on the wood. The one we received had NO COLOR in the acrylic and very little on the wood. In fact, the tiny bit of 'variety' in the acrylic looked more like a defect than planned 'dream space' coloring. It was like the person making the sculpture had run out of colors and just barely put enough on there to say there was some. I understand that each sculpture is unique and we can't expect exactly what is shown in the pictures. But this is significantly subpar. Like the end of the run with very little color and even a weird smoked tinge to the acrylic instead of clear.
