This is a well-made, accurate globe with a raised relief to represent topography like mountain ranges. My one complaint is that the color of the holder looks a little darker in the online picture as though it were an antique brass finish, and the actual color is bright golden (spray-painted steel?), so uniform in color that it almost looks plastic. There is also a small blue plastic disk at the top of the holder that isn't shown in the picture. This is still very good; as an object of decor, it's not quite what I wanted.. Mary. Boston, MA. Tue Jun 05 2018

Designed for interiors where every object feels intentional, this modern globe brings together function and form in a way that feels both subtle and distinctive. The muted palette and high-gloss finish create a softer visual rhythm than traditional globes, allowing it to integrate naturally into bookshelves, desks, and curated office settings. Set within a polished chrome frame, the sphere rotates smoothly for easy exploration, revealing detailed country and city labeling along with select elevation mapping. A weighted base with a felt underside adds stability and a quiet sense of luxury, making the piece as satisfying to place as it is to use. Whether styled alongside travel keepsakes or layered into a refined workspace, it offers a composed, design-led presence that complements rather than competes.
