This unique design is hand-crafted from Eco-friendly soapstone by Evans Nyanchoka in Kenya. Starting with Kisii stone, a collection of hand crafted art by creating a zero carbon footprint. Every stage in the making of this beautiful collection involved human hands. From quarrying - bringing to the surface - cutting to art size pieces - shaping - polishing, etc. The only element of carbon footprint is transportation from the Artisan to you. Artisans use natural dyes and hand-applied finishes for a one-of-a-kind art piece. The carver cuts to size, shapes, and defines the stone using only basic hand tools. Cherish this one of a kind piece. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size, and design. If buying two of the same item, slight differences should be expected.

A beautiful sculpture to celebrate the bond between two souls. This makes a wonderful gift for those getting married or celebrating an anniversary. The sculpture is masterfully carved from one piece of soapstone. Due to the nature of the natural stone, each piece is unique and the color will vary (some stone has more pink or grey tones).

AA quality, beautiful highly polished Orbicular Jasper Freeform from Madagascar. This stone has very large and crisp orb patterns within a matrix of clear quartz and jasper. The orb patterns within Orbicular Ocean Jasper are formed by chalcedony that grows around a central nucleus, creating a small stone in and of itself within the larger mass of rock. The orb markings are associated with the symbolism of the circle/sphere which is traditionally symbolic of wholeness, perfection, and time, a complete and whole geometric shape without an obvious beginning or end. Orbicular Jasper is a nurturing, protective stone, which can help encourage patience, release emotional blockages, and rid us of pent-up anger. It is a stone of joy and renewed enthusiasm for the cycles of life, especially when worn or placed over the Heart chakra.

The Jali art style blesses this set of two sculptures from the Indian region. Sanjay Garg decorates his creations with this sublime technique, this time combining it with the aura of power coming from these royal elephants. Carved from soapstone, the pieces immortalize the region's traditions.

The Anu Marble Disc brings a museum-worthy moment to a console or mantel, with a stone disc that reads like a fossilized find. Natural pitting and mottling give the piece its richly textured character, while a simple metal base keeps the silhouette clean and contemporary. Because each slice of stone varies, every object is one of a kind.

By the talented artisans of the Sierra Family, this chess set displays the beauty of dark marble alongside verdant green onyx. Each piece is carved by hand, displaying the elegant characteristics of the stone. The board is completed by a marble frame.

This chess set is beautifully made and in my opinion much cheaper than it should be based on the craftsmanship. It was packaged well enough that it could have been kicked all the way to my door and it would still be in one piece. The board is heavy and the pieces are sturdy and have a nice feel when moving them. Highly recommend it.... Chris. Leominster, MA. Fri Sep 08 2023

African Soapstone is among the most beautiful in the world. Mined by hand from surface mines large stones are pulled by a team of workers, cleaved into smaller pieces, and worked into stunning art and functional objects. This figurine depicts a stylized family. The soapstone is natural.

Hand-carved from a single piece of Kisii soapstone by African artisans, this angel sculpture's sleek and modern style is perfect for every decor. Each piece has gone through multiple stages of sanding and waxing, giving the soapstone a satiny finish. Soapstone is a soft, natural mineral from the earth, making it easy to carve into many forms. Handle with care to avoid breakage. Each sculpture is artfully hand-carved from a single piece of Kisii soapstone, found only in the hills of southwestern Kenya. Mining the soapstone from surface hills is a labor-intensive process, using little to no machinery. Laborers work with shovels, picks, axes, and machetes to carve out large soapstone chucks, which are then carved into beautiful art.

This is very nice and was actually better than expected. I wish I'd bought it sooner. It just looks very nice in person.. Gail. MD. Mon Jan 05 2026
