I searched through a ton of listings for 4- to 5-foot topiaries and trees, trying to find something that would look realistic enough for our front deck, where real trees and shrubs aren’t happy. This is definitely more of a cedar tree look than a cypress, but it actually looks pretty realistic in person. If you get up close, you can see how plastic the needles are, but at least they are molded and closer to the shape of actual cedar needles than your classic bottle-brush fake Christmas tree. They have that rubbery, real-touch feel, so we will have to see how well they stand up to dust and the elements—I have a feeling they are going to be hard to keep clean.
