The top part, which includes the leaves and the trunk of the tree, slides into the base which is made of the other part of the trunk and the pot. These are gorgeous! We have had these on our patio for a couple months now and despite lots of rain, wind and heat, they still look good as new. I kill every live plant, so these faux palm trees are perfect for our patio to add some luscious-looking greenery. Plus the height of these is great to add some dimension to patios with tall roofs.
