The stand came right on time. It’s exactly how described wood and metal. It is sturdy. I do wish it had a piece of the metal in to lock in place the stand in the back. Tell you an interesting story....first of all, I used to build upscale furniture for an independent designer so I was pleased to discover that this piece looked every bit as good as the photos.....but the best part for me was the fact that before I bought it, I cross checked the dimensions with the end of my 1940's console piano, and it fits just as if it were made to be installed there....total satisfaction....a chair (I also bought from Wayfair) is close by next to a table and a swing-arm lamp (I also bought from Wayfair).....my grand plan was to put all of my "Automobile" mags in the rack to create this cozy comfortable place to sit comfortably in style and absorb myself in old car literature (my biggest passion)........DONE! ADDENDUM(?).....I finally had the opportunity to buy another one of these amazing book racks so I could have one mounted at BOTH ends of the piano...talk about a "one-of-a-kind" piano eh?. Leslie.
