It's a nice clock, compact, taking up little space on my table. I wanted an atomic clock that would set itself, which this one does. But, the display on this clock is not visible from across the room. You have to push the button to light it up to see it from any distance, and that doesn't work unless you are close enough to reach it and push the button. Even the 'quiet' alarm is kind of loud. It's startling compared to my cellphone alarm (good for people who sleep through those?) The Weekday/ Weekend alarm is misleading- the only settings were Monday-Friday, or Every Day. I like the 'voice activate' feature though- if you completely dim the display, it shows up again at a loud enough sound. No extra light in my room at night. It arrived safely packed, easy to set up. It was clear from the beginning that the clock and the thermometer worked fine. To check the hydrometer, I took it outside and compared the readings with the average humiditiy shown on the local weather site, and it coincided within 5 unit margin (acceptable due to local variations of wind, altitude and, correspondingly, humidity). It takes about 2 hours for it (after you take it out of the box) to start showing correct humidity. The clock is extremely well-made, and the base has a dark cherry wood shade to it.. Julia.
