Also known as Anjali Munda, it is performed by pressing the palms of the hands together: Anjali meaning "to offer, salutation" and Munda "seal or sign." Also used as a centering pose in yoga, performed seated or standing, it has been said that two hands joined to provide a connection between the right and left brain and will offer a deeper meaning. Bookends serve as punctuation marks in a library, showcasing your respectful interest, and will add character to any room, shelf, or credenza. These always "at the offering" pair of bookends serve as functional art while giving literary support to your favorite books. The people bookends came today and they are very nice looking, especially for the price I paid. I got them through the open box program with a very nice discount. I like the pewter, it looks very crafty! It is not as heavy as I thought it would be, being metal, but it is not overly light, either. It is certainly enough to hold the books up. The detail on the kids is also quite nice. I wasn’t sure how that would be, I was happily surprised. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about is the two bookends do not meet completely aligned. There is a slight gap, but when books are placed between they, no one will notice. I would recommend this set to anyone needing bookends.. Ellen. Glen Burnie, MD. Fri May 22 2026
