Macho Fern, also known as Giant Sword Fern or Nephrolepis biserrata, offers a fuller, more dramatic presence than many traditional ferns. Use it as a stand-alone accent, group several together to frame an outdoor seating area, or pair it with coordinating patio furniture and garden décor to create a relaxing resort-inspired setting. Its generous size can help soften hard architectural lines, fill open areas, and create a lush backdrop around entrances, walkways, and gathering spaces. In frost-free climates, it can remain outdoors year round. In colder areas, move it inside before temperatures drop. Macho Fern is a beautiful choice for porch makeovers, container gardens, seasonal outdoor decorating, and anyone looking to create a layered garden look.

Botanical Name: Platycerium bifurcatumCommon Name(s): Staghorn fern, Elkhorn fernDescription: Native to Java and southeastern Australia, the Birds Nest 'Staghorn' fern has a fuzzy texture to the leaves that can get very large if taken care of. The name bifurcatum means forked, referring to the leaves that split and resemble stag or elk horns. It can grow up to 31-35 in tall and wide, and care is easy as long as they're provided with low to medium light and moderate moisture like most ferns.

Gorgeous Staghorn fern! Big, lush, healthy. It was packaged with great care to protect it from the rigors of shipping. It arrived quickly without one broken or bent frond. I’m beyond pleased. This nursery is a wonderful, dependable source of plants. Thank you!!!. Elizabeth. US. Wed Nov 02 2022

This plant arrived in good condition which can be tricky for shipping a plant. I have had bad experiences with ordering plants before, but not with Wayfair. I decided to plant the fern in a pot on my front porch which is mostly shaded and ferns love shade. I am so pleased with this purchase.. Lauren. Fri Mar 15 2024
