I purchased two of these to put them outside in my backyard. I left them in the pot it came with and put them in larger pots with more rocks on top. When it gets super windy I remove the top half of the palms so they won't get damaged. I live in Southern Utah so we'll see how they survive the summer sun. I did not give 5 stars because the base of plant is quite basic and needs to be hidden for sure… the basket it came with is a bit too flexible but still looks good… we might put the bamboo inside a more stylish sturdy pot but overall great buy , especially if you bought it on sale like I did.. Actual palms are notoriously difficult to keep alive. I went through 2 of them before finally deciding to go artificial—one of the best decisions regarding houseplants, especially here in Seattle where there’s limited sunlight a lot of the year. This artificial palm looks so good in my space. It was easy to set up and manipulate. You can arrange exactly the way you want with no issues. It looks very realistic too!
