The clock works just as the listing says it should. It is nice and compact (2 1/2" square, as described), well-assembled (no gaps in the seams), the low-luminescence setting is good and the back is not visually distracting (as was the case with similar products). One note for potential buyers: the front, top and sides of the "black" clock are actually wood-grained charcoal grey plastic. Only the back is black. I will keep it because the clock's size, design and functionality were my priorities. Even the 'quiet' alarm is kind of loud. It's startling compared to my cellphone alarm (good for people who sleep through those?) The Weekday/ Weekend alarm is misleading- the only settings were Monday-Friday, or Every Day. I like the 'voice activate' feature though- if you completely dim the display, it shows up again at a loud enough sound. No extra light in my room at night. Love the look and the radio functions GREAT. The only disappointment is the programming is very clunky, not intuitive at all. Every time you want to set the alarm to a different time, you need the instructions because the sequence isn't intuitive at all. Radio sounds great as well... it's not a Bose quality speaker system by any means, but I like to listen to jazz or sports talk as I get ready and it's easily loud enough and clear at good volume for that.. This is great as it gives the day of week, which is important during stay-at-home orders but still teaching from home. This would make a great retirement gift.
