After approximately 30 years of faithful service, I forced my old, white Sony “Dream Machine” clock/radio into retirement. I couldn’t get rid of it, because why fix what isn’t broken? But the last couple of automatic daylight savings changes on the wrong days forced me to take a good look at my old, slightly dirty-white, alarm clock. I hated the alarm itself. It’s annoyingly shrill, high-pitch started each day off wrong by scaring the bejeezus out of me. But, besides twice a year, it never failed me. It didn’t look great, nor did it match my decor. How could it? I got it when I was still a teenager, and now I’m a middle-aged woman with real furniture. It was time for me to move on. I think I’m a pretty harsh critic of all things new and that I don’t need, and I have to say, I love the new alarm! I’ve used it for weeks now, and it’s still running off of the same charge- amazing! It’s dark, unless you touch it (or cough on it, I recently found out), and it is a nice, reflective black otherwise. The alarm is easy to use and set-up, and I really enjoy the choices they have on the alarm. It’s much more pleasant getting up to nature sounds or a kid’s nursery song than the old alternative. My only recommendation is that I wish it had a real plug... or a choice of one. I’m worried that I already lost the charging cord somewhere. Us older generations still like the security of plugging something into the wall, and knowing that it won’t die on us on a work day that we need to give a presentation. Just saying. I guess on those days, you’ll have to pull out your cell phone alarm as a backup. I highly recommend!. Melissa. Doylestown, PA. 2022-11-30 16:35:20
