Beautiful clock but small. Good for a decoration or a small space on shelf. More decorative than functional. Krissy. Thu Oct 15 2026

Vintage-inspired character stands tall in this antique gold metal table clock, a freestanding analog accent with a raised round dial and pedestal base. The white face has large black Arabic numerals, minute markers, and dark hands under a clear plastic cover, while quartz movement at the back keeps the front profile clean. Measuring 15 inches high, 6.25 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, it brings vertical presence without taking over a shelf or work surface. Use this traditional mantel clock on a console, bookshelf, side table, desk, or entryway surface where you want timekeeping with a collected look. Its lightly aged gold finish, turned-style stem details, and broad felted base suit farmhouse, industrial, eclectic, study, library, or home office decor. Requires one AA battery for operation.

IT’S ABOUT TIME … AND PATIENCE: This clock is classic and beautiful with a gold rim around its face, gold numbers, gold scrollwork, black ornamentals, and spindly hands. Another reviewer stated the cover over the face is plastic instead of glass and that the "wood" is really pressed cardboard hiding beneath a thinly veiled veneer. I think he was right about the cover - it does feel like plastic instead of glass. The wood feels like wood to me. I hope it is since the clock is described as being made of wood. The chime melodies are all beautiful and a joy to hear … except at night when I want to sleep. Fortunately, the volume can be lowered or the chimes can be turned off between 11 p.m. and 5:45 a.m. or turned off altogether. I would like to keep the back cover on all the time but it’s a bit of a pain to put on after removing it to switch chimes on or off. It’s important to READ THROUGH THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE attempting to install batteries and set the time. And it takes patience to get the chimes to sound on the hour. I used my smartwatch with a second hand to set the time so that it would chime at the right time. It’s not perfect but it’s as close as my patience allows. Like most everything else, the clock is made in China. It’s sad that it’s not made in the United States. At just over $200, I feel like I’m paying good money for something lacking the quality of past years (plastic cover and the possibility of veneer instead of real wood). So only four stars for not being made in the United States and possibly cheaper materials.. Pixie. Florida. Sun Jul 12 2026
