Got these to go in my kitchen windows and they look very nice. I wouldn't call them room-darkening, however. If that is important to you, I'd think twice about getting these. I needed lots of light in my kitchen, so they work fine for me. Very easy to hang and you don't have to go to the trouble of adding a valance because it's part of the curtain!
