The Annunciation is considered to be one of Leonardo’s youthful religious paintings when he was still an apprentice at the studio of Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence. The paintings style owes much to the influence of his master, Verrocchio and his workshop. The kneeling winged Archangel Gabriel holding a lily, a symbol of the Virgin Mary’s purity, the elegant silhouette of the dignified youthful Madonna seated behind a lectern, and the flower-carpeted, enclosed Renaissance palace garden combines lyrically to create a classical Italian decorative setting. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work’s texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. The replica 4.375″-wide, European-style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.
