Dressed in the robes of an Italian Franciscan monk, with a crucifix at his side, one of history’s and religion’s most beloved sacred saints is depicted here by Flemish master artist, Peter Paul Rubens. Rubens depicts the spirtual religious order founder, Saint Francis of Assisi, recognizable by the wound that imitates the pierced hands of the crucified Christ. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work’s texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. The replica 4.375″-wide, European-style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.
