Very soft and plush. It did well in my washing machine. Aside from one part that looked like it got burnt or something.. but when I put some Shout stain remover it seemed to get rid of the burnt stuff.. but anyway so far I love this comforter. My body temp runs hot but I slept like a baby with this comforter. I didn’t wake up feeling hot or sweaty like I normally do. I’ve never had a duvet cover. I’m used to a comforter an occasional blanket so my expectations were low. Plus my body temp runs hot. This duvet is perfect! The 100 cotton works well for hot sleepers. I slept like a baby with this. I didn’t wake up feeling hot or sweaty like I normally do. I love the lived-in look of the fabric. The included pillows have that envelope enclosure so I don’t have to worry about my pillows slipping out. I love the ruffled borders of the pillows too. This is a good set at a good price point. Exactly what I was looking for. After going through a number of familiar stores looking for a French quilt and not finding really any. The Chezmoi collection had a few I really liked. The colors are great some vivid some faded. The stitching is neat and beautiful. I bought the King for my Queen bed because I like it to reach closer to the floor.
