4-Shelf design is sturdy and stylish to display photos, books, action figures, wine, and whisky; the glass door is easy to open and close, there are bumper strips between glass plates and sides for maximum safety, durable and practical for everyday use
Looks great and will suit the purposes I need it for (at least for a short while), but the unit itself has a few design flaws which cheapen the unit and make it unnecessarily difficult to finish in a timely manner. For example, the metal hinge supports for the top and bottom of the door require you to precisely place a small stopper, a small piece of foam (that you need to fold to squeeze in), and a plastic cap on each one, as opposed to just providing a hinge that already has these small pieces already designed together in one unit. The issue is that if you don’t set them precisely, the glass door has a tendency to slide out before you’ve secured them because you’re busy trying to align all these little pieces top and bottom. If you don’t, the door won’t close or line up properly with the other door. Also, the other bottom door stopper pieces that you affix to the inside bottom base shelf are far too thick for the doors to close above, so we have to literally lift the doors a bit to close them in order for the locking mechanism to close..
