Arrived very quickly after ordering. The instructions are straight forward and easy to understand. Comes assembled. You will need two people and two ladders in order to mount. Straightforward installation but you Need some carpentry knowledge... how to find studs to install brackets, proper leveling etc. So far this awning has worked flawlessly for us. We love it. Not exactly sure how well the material will hold up to extreme sun and heat in Texas, but I believe if we take care of it and use it as intended, it should last a long time. Not for use in high wind. Amazing awning! We were taken back by the quality and construction of this awning. Heavy duty does not due it justice compared to other awnings we had purchased in the past. Plus the awning is fully assembled and ready to install. The motor is on the left side. Directions suggest three people to install, unless you have two extra strong people to lift it in place. I purchased two of these awnings for the back of my house as it is West facing and gets some extremely hot temps (100+ degrees) in the summer. I went with motorized for ease of operation. The 120 volt motors work quietly and consistently. Mounting them 10' off of the ground was a bit of a pain, but I hired some help after I had the mounting brackets done. The no assembly was essential for me, I didn't want to be screwing around with several parts. The draw backs to these awnings are as follows. 1) the packaging was poor and allowed several "dings' on the exterior covers and exposed metal. It didn't affect the operation of the awnings though. 2) The manufacturer appears to be out of business, and thus no customer support except through Wayfair. To be fair, any of these products that are made and shipped from China will have little to no customer support. Wayfair did offer an adjustment for the damage the awnings sustained that I was satisfied with. The awnings are solidly built, so hopefully no service will be required for a long time. I did have to figure out how to adjust the awning arms without the benefit of customer support. I was able to find similar awnings on U tube and was able to accomplish the adjustments.. Marty.
