The second shelf functions as a keyboard tray and adjusts between 32" and 40" high, accommodating multiple users. Perfect for working at home; holds my laptop, 2nd monitor and printer, with a shelf to spare! Assembly was fairly quick and easy, but the random pieces of styrofoam took a few minutes to clean up. This cart is incredibly weighty and stable. It has more of a commercial feel than I expected, which is an added bonus. When I have company and need to move my work out of sight, I can easily unplug everything and wheel it into a closet. Shelf surfaces wipe clean easily with a damp cloth.
