LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! The box was simple to open and easy to lay out (I was able to do it on my own and I have chronic back pain). My husband and I got the King size, went from a spring bed to the gel memory foam. We had to wait 48 hours to let it inflate but honestly it didn't change much from the first few hours to the 48, I'm not sure if maybe it takes longer for the air to distribute or whatever and I couldn't see it, but I would just wait the 48 to be extra safe, which is what we ended up doing. The mattress didn't smell like it had been in a warehouse forever which I appreciated. But most importantly, as soon as I lay on the bed, I felt my back thanking me! Especially the first night sleeping on it... HEAVEN. I didn't want to get up the next morning and in fact got to work late because of it! LOL. If you have chronic back pain I would highly recommend. Also, I should however add that the mattress is rather thin, and if you don't want to be close to the ground I recommend getting a box spring or a taller frame (we got a frame that didn't need a box spring and it's only maybe a foot or two off the ground). Overall very happy with the product. Great price and good quality!

We love our new Verse mattresses. I was completely torn on what nontoxic mattress to get for our twin beds in our guest rooms. I landed on the Naturepedic Verse and couldn't be happier so hopefully this review helps others make the tough decision! Time: first, I have literally no time on my hands because I am pregnant and have two toddlers at home. The time it took from when we took the mattress out of the box to it being set up on our bed was about two minutes -- and it comes all wrapped up in a vacuum packed box that's light weight, easy to transport around the house, and unseals in under a minute. Comfort: It is comfortable, supportive, and much firmer than our other old coil-based mattresses. Not too firm - just stable. The best part is that when you sit or jump (kids!) on any part of the mattress you don't feel it anywhere else. I thought you could only achieve that through latex but the mechanics inside the Naturepedic coil mattresses work similarly, which is awesome. Protection: There's an excellent warranty on the mattresses so I'm happy to know that despite it not being inexpensive, it's protected for a long time. We've had the Verses for a couple of weeks and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, especially for a kids room or guest room.

I was hesitant about buying a bed online because I would not be able to test the density of the bed. I read a lot of reviews and did my research. My husband and I like a more plush bed but also wanted the low motion transfer and the edge support. I think that these are two important things to look for in a memory foam mattress. This mattress had both and the trusted Sealy name so I took the chance of purchasing online because I knew if it wasn't right, Wayfair would make it right. They have the best customer service team. The mattress arrived in one box, but know that it is very heavy. We followed the instructions for unrolling it. Be sure to have the dark side facing the frame because that is the bottom of the mattress and it is a bit hard to flip once inflated. This is our first memory foam mattress so I wasn't sure what to expect. After about 2 hours it seemed fully up to size. We however did not sleep on it the first nite to ensure it had inflated completely. The next day when we laid down on the mattress, to test the density, it was like heaven! We both took a nap that we were not planning on! So VERY comfortable. Wish we would have purchased this type of mattress years ago. I also ordered a platform frame from Wayfair for this mattress and we are very pleased with both. Since we purchased the 12" I also purchased the deep pocket sheets and mattress protector and they fit perfectly. If you are having second thoughts about this mattress, buy it, you won't regret it!

Before purchasing this mattress I had looked through many other mattresses before I settled on this. Prior to this, I was sleeping on a supposed bariatric mattress with stated weight support of 800 pounds from the supplier which was a major supplier of medical equipment, I weigh 430 pounds and the mattress did not support me one bit, I was always sleeping on the metal frame of the bed. Being a disabled Veteran I had the bed supplied by the VA health system and for over two years I had complained that the mattress did not support my weight and I was constantly given the run around as to who to talk to to get a mattress that could support me. Eventually, the VA cut me off from all medical help due to my constant begging for help. So I had to start on my own to provide myself with a mattress I could afford and with Katapult financing I was then able to purchase this mattress. I was leery of the stated claim of support of 1000 pounds but I decided to gamble and take a chance on getting this mattress. I was also leery about this as I was going to use it on my hospital bed so it needed to be able to bend when I raised the head and feet. When I first unpacked the mattress it was 8" and I let it sit for two days and then it was up to the 10" and put it on the bed and it is absolutely wonderful. It supports me fully and has no problems raising the head and feet. I cannot attest to the "cooling" effect as I have the air conditioner running year round in the bedroom due to my heart condition and I need to keep it cool to sleep. The mattress has plenty of bounce to it also. If you are a young couple you will enjoy this mattress greatly. I would not doubt one bit if the woman would not want to get to bed earlier than usual as the sensations from the springness of the mattress will greatly increase the enjoyment for the women if you understand what I mean. You could also feel like you are sleeping on a boat on the ocean from the way it supports you and moves. I would greatly recommend this mattress to anyone that is big size or a young couple still sexually active.

I am really impressed with this mattress... Some of the reviews had me a little apprehensive but they must either be first time memory foam mattress owners or impossible to please. This is indeed a plush mattress... It’s really soft and does a great job of molding to your body when you lay down on it... For the first time memory foam buyers wondering what your love life would be like fear not, this mattress is perfect... It provides a soft landing and is not like romping on a concrete floor... If you depend on your mattress to provide all the action though, memory foam is probably not for you and/or you’re doing something wrong... LOL I see a lot of comments with people taking issue with the mattress only being 9 or 9.5 inches when they paid for 10”... Don’t let those reviews trouble you... That’s common with these things. They are vacuum sealed and come in a box a fraction of their size. The mattress should evenly expand in about 24 hours and in my experience they are usually ready in about 12 hours. Over time, like several weeks you may or may not see that extra inch appear depending on how you measure it but trust me, it is nothing to lose any sleep over. The mattress is comfortable and that’s what you are wanting. I could care less if it was an inch thick as long as I got a good night sleep on it. Don’t let the reviews griping about getting shorted an inch scare you away. ALL memory foam mattress have that issue and those complaining probably have other issues they need to deal with. LOL This mattress is a really good deal and really comfortable... In my opinion you can’t go wrong with this purchase if you are looking for a plush memory foam mattress.

This is definitely better than the mattress that came with my sofa bed. It is thicker, came in a heavy box, and I just took it out and placed it on the frame to let it air out and fluff up. It didn't take long and was perfect! It is my first sofa bed though, so I don't know how much of the queen size frame it is meant to cover. My kids love sleeping on it downstairs, so I have to put throw pillows around the edge to keep them from getting hurt on the metal frame. The length doesn't quite fit either, so maybe it is meant to be like that for when it folds up inside. Otherwise, it feels amazing. I no longer feel the bar that runs across the middle under the mattress. It has been about nine months and it still feels good. My kids wear it out, wanting to sleep downstairs almost every weekend. They love it so much that with the price, I'm not expecting it to hold up too long. I can somewhat feel the difference from when it was new. But memory foam is definitely the only way to go, and I will buy this same one again when it wears out!

For the price I paid for a king size 8" firm memory foam mattress, this works great! The mattress was rolled in one large box. It was easy to unroll and take out of the airtight bag. However, it had an unbearable chemical smell, which I had anticipated. Word of caution: If you're going to set up your mattress, make sure you do it when the weather is nice outside and you can keep your windows open for days. The off-gassing will take several days to completely disappear. I would advise leaving the windows open, closing your door(s) so the smell doesn't leak into the other rooms, turn the fan(s) on high, walk all over the mattress to speed up the off-gassing, and sprinkling a box of baking nose to the mattress, there's still a hint of smell, but I actually have a 2" memory foam topper over the mattress, so the smell doesn't bother me at all and it doesn't seem to bother my dog. Now, in regards to comfort, soda all over the mattress. Trust me, the baking soda will help speed up the process and you can vacuum it up afterwards. It took a full 2 days for the smell to dissipate and I was able to sleep on the mattress on the second night. However, I still kept the fans on high and the windows open because the chemical smell still lingered in the room. I also used Airwick plug-ins in the room. It's been four days now and the smell is pretty much gone. If you put your nose to the mattress, there's still a faint smell, but I have a 2" memory foam topper over it, so the smell doesn't bother me at all and my dog doesn't seem to be bothered by it either. Now, in regards to sleeping on the mattress, I think the comfort level works for me because I have neck and shoulder pain, due to my old mattress. The memory foam is quite comfortable and I've been able to sleep better and wake up with no neck or shoulder pain. My dog seems to absolutely love the bed because he just sinks right in. Even his loud snoring gets muffled by the memory foam, which is a plus for me. Overall, I think this is an excellent purchase, as long as you can tolerate the chemical smell for several days.

I ordered this bed based off of all of the good reviews on it. We were moving into our first new house we bought, and wanted to get a new bed to go along with it. My husband is 6’5” with muscular build around probably 280 pounds. Im 5’2” around 117 pounds and very small so obviously we both have very different needs when it comes to a bed. Our previous Queen size bed was NOT big enough for him to be able to spread out and be comfortable, and also we both were having back problems and not sleeping comfortably most nights all around. He told me to search for something that would be great for our backs and in a California King. Done and done. This bed, upon arrival was able to easily go into my best friends truck to be moved to the new house. The bed was ready for us to sleep on within a couple of hours the same night we unpacked and let it inflate. The pillows, give them a day or two. The first night we laid on the mattress we sat there in awe at how comfy it was and how i could finally move around and he didnt feel it at all on his side. He could HEAR me moving, but couldnt feel it! We’ve had no back problems the past few nights we’ve been in our new home and have slept on this new mattress. I cant say enough how much we have loved and enjoyed this mattress. The pillows, once they are fully done inflating (they surprisingly take longer than the mattress), are WONDERFUL too. It works for tiny little me and my giant husband. Love love love.

UPDATE*** Its been a few months and I still love this bed. It has softened just enough and contours to my body perfectly without me sinking or leaving permanent dents. I don't wake up in pain. So happy I bought this one. Never discontinue this one. A note: buy deep pocket sheets. My old sheets “supposedly” could fit up to a 15in mattress. Lol noo… go for the 18” deep and save your arm strength for another time. Super pleased with it so far! I am a stomach sleeper and my back was killing me on an older, so-called “medium”mattress. I took a gamble on this one since the price was right and I could take it back if it didn’t work. Took some adjusting to in the first couple nights (it is firm with some give), but now I sleep soundly and wake up not sweaty and with no pain! Its actually hard to get out of bed now lol. It rose quickly and evenly with only minor odor. I slept on it after 12 hrs (don’t do that lol) and it was even firmer the next day. I bought a queen and I will say 90lbs was a lot to lug up the stairs. This bed is super dense so maybe have help or be in good shape lol. It also sits super tall on my regular boxspring and bed frame. Im 5’6” and I kind of have to roll-flip onto it, so be mindful of that. Edge support is fine for it being all foam, I don’t slide off. Im happy and relieved! Lets see how it does in 90 days...

I’ve had 7 back surgeries and I’m use to tossing and turning all night from back pain. I recently visited my son his wife. After a 7 hour drive, I had to lay down for a minute. When I laid down on their mattress, I knew I had to have one. I have spent tons of money on expensive mattresses. When I still woke with pain and tossed and turned all night, I would buy expensive memory foam or gel toppers. Nice thing was it happened to be thanksgiving when I visited my Son so I got the Black Friday sale on my king size. It was delivered the day after I got home. I thought I was suppose to wait 24-48 hours before I could sleep on this mattress but the instructions say there is no wait time. Put it on your frame and lay down. That’s what I did and I woke the next morning and I had a great night sleep because not one time did I toss and turn. I don’t think I moved all night and I got up with zero back pain. My only regret is that i didn’t get one sooner. If I had not laid down on my son’s bed, I guess I would still be sleeping on that expensive Serta pillow top with a 200 mattress memory gel topper that killed my back. If you are on the fence, jump off and get this mattress.

This is the 2nd mattress I’ve ordered, the first was a different make. This one has a pillow top and is two inches thicker. I’m so glad that I settled for this one. I’ve struggled with back, neck and shoulder pain (I’m a side sleeper) over the years. I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort level of this mattress and cannot wait to sleep on it! When the mattress arrived, the shipping box was torn and banged up a bit and I was concerned that the mattress may have been damaged, but low and behold there was no damage! The mattress was so well wrapped in a few layers of plastic that I had to be careful with removing. Took my sharp scissors and worked through the layers. It was immediately springing to life! There was a warning on the plastic that this may happen. Within moments the mattress was at 9 1/2” after removing the plastic. It’s now at 10” and it’s been about 3 hours without any increase. Hopefully will get to 11” as I purposefully ordered and paid for a thicker mattress for comfort and aesthetics. I was informed by Wayfair’s (absolutely AWESOME customer service agents) that it takes 24 hours to completely rise. I’ll update my review then. I’d just like to say that the comfort level is so awesome for me! I’m not a heavy individual, about 135 pounds so I can’t speak for someone that may be heavier. Though the construction of the mattress seems to me that the weight limit would be just fine for a heavier person or couple. Max weight is 500 pounds btw. I’m so happy with the comfort. It’s a lot like a “cloud dream” mattress that I slept on at a family’s home. This mattress is like sleeping on a fluffy cloud with a firmer base that supports the back. I hope it continues to perform this way once I get it on its base. I’m quite pleased so far and it’s only been 6 hours since I unwrapped it. The workmanship is decent. I did notice that one corner on the top has a depression and I’m not certain if that’s a defect only because I haven’t waited the whole 24 hours. Almost like someone placed their knee down onto the mattress and it never recovered. We’ll see after 24 hours. I just want to add that because of my pain, this mattress is the best mattress that I’ve had for the price range. I currently have a smaller mattress that’s a plush that I spent well over 500 for and it’s not nearly as comfy as this one!

My first foam mattress and I love it! Comfy, firm, and stationary. Not bouncy or springy at all, quite silent, I dont have it against any walls and it stays in place on a frame. They were out of queen size so I ordered king with some trepidation - it is fantastic! The simple open frame I got allows the wood floor to be seen and adds a sense of airiness to a smallish room. I have a separate dressing room. Now I literally have a bed-room. A room thats truly for sleeping, a unique and highly recommended set up. Everyone who comes over has to try my bed, the consensus is wow!. Great choice for allergy sufferers* (read last paragraph), get a mattress cover too. I admit the sale price got my serious attention but combined with the structural features and especially the 20 year warranty - actually its 25 years per packaging, it was a no questions choice. Youll never get that nor want it from a conventional mattress. This was a big move for me onto a proper bed. I didnt want to do it. Peer pressure. Im oddly repelled by beds. I can sleep in them but Im not buying one for myself. Ive disliked box springs since early childhood. Pulled my mattress onto the floor in grade school, where Ive slept since. Im quite content. *Eons ago, I learned from my allergist that futons and mattresses with cotton stuffing are organic cess pools full of skin cell eating dust mites, body debris, and mold spores. Whether they have a mattress cover on them or not theyre a poor choice.

Bought this to replace 14" mattress that was just too darn high to get up and down from. It's for enough to give you support but not so for that you feel like you slept on the floor and it is just the right hight. Came well packaged but was a little bit hard to get out If you use a knife be super careful. It had a super thick plastic covering was that Actually I saved Cause you never know when you might need a big pc of thick plastic to cover up a bicycle with outside or something you know? I did have a little bit of a smell to it but that went away quickly it took about 18 hours to be completely inflated. Put the price I think it's a great mattress And I will be purchasing another 1 in the future

Bought three of these mattresses online on Black Friday, wow! What a deal! Hadn't had much experience with memory foam type mattresses, except the impression that they feel too "squishy" for my tastes, so ordered firm. Planning to use one for our bedroom, and two for guest bedrooms. Appreciated that the description mentioned two layers: a cooling gel top and the regular foam below. This is a FIRM mattress, not much "give" at all. Feels great to me, I love a firm, flat mattress. Husband prefers a pillow top, which we've had in the past. So to compromise, I purchased a fluffy down mattress pad locally, so we have the best of all: great price, firm mattress, cushy top. Of the three mattresses we ordered, two inflated within 24 hours but one had a permanent dent along one side. I went online, thinking I would just return it, but cost was over $60, so I ordered a replacement. We are supposed to donate the defective mattress to charity or dispose of it. So as a caution, make sure you really want these mattresses before you order, because returning is expensive. I believe some online "mattress in a box" retailers don't take returns, just give you a refund and ask you to donate the mattress to charity. I have no idea how you would ship back one of these after inflating anyway.

Wasn't sure how I was going to like this since I wasn't able to test it out first but it's exactly what I was looking for. I needed something easy for me to deal with considering I was moving 10 hours away from home. I had the mattress delivered right to my new apartment and it got there a few hours after I did. As soon as I opened the compression bag the mattress rose almost to full height immediately. It is a little more firm than I like, however, I am typically used to a pillow top mattress. What I needed was something quick, cheap, QUALITY and comfortable...I got everything I was looking for! I did add a mattress topper to this only because I had one and it made it seem more like a pillow top mattress, but I never would have purchased one if it wasn't already in my closet. The bed is extremely comfortable. I don't know if I would plan to use this long term (I am starting grad school and really just looking to use it over the course of the next 2-3 years) but it is definitely perfect for what I need right now.
