This tighter Percale weave produces a more durable fabric that is superior to sateen weaves. Percale never pills and stays smooth. Though thread count is important, how the fabric is woven is more important when it comes to how the sheets feel. If you love crisp sheets like grandma had, choose these. Machine washed and dried with no issues. Came out of the dryer quite wrinkled but I dont use fabric softener either. I ironed the pillow cases for a better picture. The bottom sheet fits my 12 mattress perfectly and they dont come off while sleeping.
