I went with Nautica because of my familiarity with the brand. I am very pleased with this comforter. It is sharp and just right for a "guy's" room (or a woman's too). For environmental responsibility it came vacuum packed but with a quick cut on the plastic the comforter puffed up nicely and has no unpleasant oder to it. It is middle of the road in terms of how thick it is, neither too heavy, nor too light. The shams are nice as well. I am used to ones with the slit in the back to slide a pillow in and out of but these actually have a small zipper which I prefer. For me I simply put old pillows into the shams for appearances so I will not be testing the zippers with any sort of frequency. Seriously though, who likes a weak comforter? Does anyone enjoy getting a comforter vacuum smushed in a box that looks like a flat sheet and comes with instructions to shake it out and wait 4 days? And, after those 4 days are up, it's still so thin you wonder if you were sent a flat sheet. The thought of such a comforter makes us sick! Sure, it's harder to create, produce, and ship such impossibly huge comforters that are "thicker than thick"... But isn't that the whole point? With the number of hours, we sleep (or should sleep) each night, it should be a crime to have a flat sheet-like comforter.
