I have a unique setup where I have 2 queen beds together because I sleep with my 2 great danes and 1 great pyrenees. I needed to be sure this bed was supportive, with some bounce , because straight memory foam doens't hold up to the amount of weight that could be on the bed. THIS IS AMAZING. First the coils are stiff with tons of support. Exactly what I need! It's an honest 12" high which is important since I have a 12" mattress next to it and it was off in measurements, it would be uncomfortable. But most importantly its extremely comfortable. We ordered this twelve inch high queen size mattress for our guest room. It arrived so well compacted that I was afraid to open it because I thought it might be the wrong size. Since we live in a very hot climate, I wanted a mattress that would help keep our guest cool while they slept. When you open it, I suggest opening it on the bed frame you want to have it on, because it is heavy and you will need two people to lift it. The instructions say to allow the mattress to expand to full size for two or more days. We bought this mattress for our home and I slept on it for several nights to get a feel for it. It arrived tightly rolled in a box, and getting it upstairs was easier with two people. Once we cut the plastic, it started expanding right away and was pretty close to its full 12-inch height by the next day. There was no new-foam smell. The mattress feels supportive and doesn’t let you sink in too much. Even though it’s labeled medium, it feels more like medium-firm, especially at first. The foam has a bit of give around the shoulders and hips, while the springs keep everything feeling stable and lifted. One thing I noticed is that movement from side to side isn’t really noticeable to a partner, which is a nice bonus. The edges are decent for sitting, though not quite as firm as the middle.
