The pillow shams are large enough for a 6.4 inch thick Tempurpedic dual cooling pillow and has an inside envelope feature to hide pillowcase ends. I really like this quilt. It is lightweight, which is what I wanted and the color is color is beautiful. I guess it is technically a matelasse, but loosely quilted.
