These sheets are not particularly thick. The pillow cases barely hold a standard sized pillow. The top sheet only overhangs the top of the bed by 10 inches on each side so there is not a whole lot of extra sheet width. The elastic all the way around the fitted sheet is a really nice feature. I LOVE these pillowcases! To tell the truth, even though I looked closely at the pattern, I didn't really see the little red accents on the snowflakes, so that was a nice surprise detail. The fabric does feel both substantial and soft, quite luxurious, actually.
