Terrible quality. I do not recommend it to anyone. The set screw that keeps the rod level stripped without any pressure. Therefore it will not hold the rod level to the ceiling or hold the shower curtain. I am trying to see if I can gorilla glue it in place. If that doesn’t work I will have to send it back.. Edward. The 48” was exactly the right size for my bathroom area. I rotated the support poles so they were both coming from the ceiling. It is sturdy just not indestructible obviously. This D-type shower rod is constructed of high-quality brass to ensure reliability and durability. Its premier resists tarnishing and corrosion.

A little lightweight feeling (but probably better that it isn't too heavy with the anchoring and connections being a bit iffy). We were able to saw through the ceiling pipe ourselves with very little effort and the right plumbers pipe saw from the hardware store. Took a laser level and some serious time to mount properly. As other reviews on here and the other color/finish listings (for the same model) have suggested, would benefit from gluing the connection pieces in place. ALSO (and this is huge) the wall brackets are shown mounted horizontally (9 and 3 o'clock) in these photos and on the minimal instructions included, BUT should actually be mounted vertically (12 and 6 o'clock) to line up with the screw holes on the ring portion.
