Great pillowtop Mattress. It is more firm than it is soft. While I do think the cooling effect works, once you have a sheet on the mattress, I don't notice the cooling through the sheet much. The mattress feels very supportive, and a great quality. The pillowtop is a really nice addition to a Hybrid mattress. It’s incredibly soft and plush, but unlike other soft mattresses I’ve tried, you don’t sink in so much that it’s hard to move or roll over. It feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud, but with just the right amount of support underneath, so I wake up feeling rested and without aches. I've been sleeping on it for about a month now and have no issues waking up with a sore back, shoulders, or neck! A couple of things to keep in mind: this mattress is very tall, about 16", so you’ll need deep pocket sheets and a deep mattress protector, and it’s also very heavy, which makes changing the sheets a bit of a workout. Even with those quirks, the comfort is outstanding. If you want a mattress that’s truly soft and plush but still supportive and durable, I can’t recommend this one enough.. Maribenz_9855. This mattress arrived very quickly. The box was much larger than I expected and the mattress weighed over 100 pounds. I was really pleasantly surprised since mattress in a box sometimes feels really unsubstantial. The cover on it is really nice. We were looking for a firm mattress in originally purchased a Beautyrest Black. Was very disappointed with it and sent it back and replaced it with our Sterns and foster firm pillow top. The difference is that with the beauty rest it was firm, but actually quite hard. After just a couple nights of sleeping, a divot formed in the mattress, which shouldn’t happen. The Stearns and Foster is firm, but the pillow top gives it a little bit of soft comfortable feeling. While the mattress does conform a bit to your body, The, divots in the mattress aren’t quite as noticeable as with the beautyrest. Pro tip: purchase your mattresses online directly from the manufacturer site. Delivery was a breeze, and you won’t need to pay a large return fee to a furniture store.
