I purchased this as an open box item. It came quickly and basically assembled, you just have to attach the legs and plug in the cables. Warning however, if you put a 14" hybrid mattress on it it is super tall to get into the bed. The legs are over 11" tall and add the mattress and you have a super tall bed. Terrific base. The lumbar support and pillow tilt are wonderful. My back has stopped hurting in the morning when I use the lumbar support.
