It had 1,000 pieces and 1,000 steps to put it together, but it was pretty easy - just time consuming. It’s quite sturdy feeling and looks great. My only complaint is that the locking mechanism that keeps only one drawer open at a time is kind of loud and clanky. We really like this dresser and changing topper overall. It looks beautiful in our daughter’s nursery and fits perfectly with the decor. Assembly was straightforward, and the size is great for storing baby clothes and essentials. The only downside is that the drawers feel a bit loose and don’t seem to be the highest quality. They work, but they don’t slide as smoothly or feel as sturdy as we had hoped.
