I've had this for 5 months now. We needed a range hood that was at least 600 CFM and didn't have to get a bank loan to buy. This received great reviews from here and other websites, but Wayfair had the best deal. It has 3 speeds. The sound level is between 1.8 – 6.5 sones. I keep it on low most of the time which is very quiet. The highest speed is loud, but it's not annoying and you can still talk over it. I would take 1/2 a star off only because it doesn't cover the front burners. Other than that I'm extremely satisfied.

In my home I required a hood with the option to convert to a recirculating hood. This hood fit the bill and still had the great industrial look I was hoping for. I might be inclined to give this 5 stars after further use. Pros: Great look and finish, ability to recirculate, comes with grates, has 2 lights and 3 speeds for the fan Cons: Does not come with recirculating kit. Only 600cfm would be nice to have more if external venting

This is a great hood at a fraction of the Thermador option that I was quoted at appliance store. A bit loud, but then I think all of them with this level of power would be. Excellent modern looking product

We installed this hood ourselves. Due to the configuration of our cabinets we did have to rethink how we installed this. With an old home built in 1930 you never know till you start. We ended up running the vent out the soffit. After looking at the options it really was the best way. We like the look of the hood over our stove and the lighting is excellent. It is a quiet hood on level 1 and 2. If you go up to 3 it is quiet a bit louder but that was expected. This was a middle of the road hood. To get one that was a very quiet sound would have cost hundreds more. We were sticker shocked by the price of the range hoods really. We could still hear the damper rattling once we taped the piping together. We finally removed the damper because of it. The outside vent has a damper. Unfortunately it was the only way to stop the annoying rattling.

We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. Minuscule is more appropriate for the slim silhouette 1 1/2 x 3“ controllers. Hope this was helpful.

This hood is very nice. The lights are bright and the fan is powerful. I would have given it 5 stars but the top where it would mount to the duct is 10in and my house duct was about 6.5in. So I had to buy adapters to make it work which made the job more difficult. Otherwise, so far so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] None of our local dealers had this hood on display, so we took a chance ordering. Glad we did. It comes set up to mount on the flat bottom of a cabinet, but there is a second set of holes that allow you to drop the mounting apparatus lower, such as if you have a 1-1/2 inch wood frame around the bottom of the cabinet, as in the attached photo. Vertical adjustment to fit the space is made very easy with two machine screws. Bosch's literature doesn't give you much information, except for the cut-out size. We didn't see any reason to get one of those kitchen-dominating fancier hoods. I took one point off because it's not very quiet, even on low, but it does it's job very well.

Love the insert! Price was great in comparison to others. Fast shipping. A little bit loud when fan is on but about the same as our old one (builder grade). Very bright light. Cannot see it underneath our built in cabinet.

Just got it hooked up and it's running smoothly with no apparent issues. Planning on replacing the bulbs with led, however, as the provided incandescents are inefficient and hot to the touch.

It's hard to say yet as it has not been installed. I trust that it is the quality as portrayed on your website! Well, it's been installed for a while now. It's VERY loud, however, and difficult to carry on a conversations when it's running. The sone level stated here is certainly not demonstrative of the noise level created. Exhaust efficiency is adequate, but not super duper. For the price it is sadly not up to the standard I expected.

I converted a downflow vent arrangement to an overhead exhaust. The vent had to fit in the cabinet above the stove. This unit was a perfect fit and did not take up a lot of room in the cabinet. Combined with an exterior mounted exhaust fan and a inline silencer the only sound you hear is air movement. There was one defective part which was promptly supplied by Broan. Good service experience.

This unit was not originally offered to me, but prior experience with Broan products caused me to ask if an appropriate Broan exhaust could be ordered. It cost less than the other brands offered and has proven to be an excellent investment after 4+ years. I am sure I will get many more years of service from this unit.
