I love the design and room of this new fridge. However the ice dispenser is NOT good. Does not dispense ice consistently. I have to reach up from outside and release ice. This ice dispenser design is NOT user friendly.. Bodkin. Tue Aug 18 2026

Got this GE fridge to replace an old GE Profile that finally died. Loved that fridge! This is level down, due to not wanting to spend so much money. It was delivered today, so not sure about the actual function. Few things though that your engineers or designers should think about. My husband is very handy and decided to hookup the water line himself. Problem is the piece that you have to insert the copper water line to is very short, and initially leaked. Also, on door with water/ice, the shelf maybe should have a well built there to catch dripping water or any excess ice. Just 2 initial thoughts so far. I'm hoping to love this one as much as I did my old one... we'll have to see. Quick update: yes, you need to add a well or lip to ice/water fixture. I went to try out the ice 2 days later, it grinned for at least a minute before actually dispensing ice, then it shot out like a bat. Had ice all over the floor due to my glass not being able to hold the amount dispensed. I'm not sure what the problem or answer is.. Lucypearl289. New Jersey. Fri Aug 21 2026

The extra tall dispenser is perfect for stainless steel water bottles and the in door ice maker is a modern touch . The adjustable shelving and wide freezer space is convenient for frozen pizzas or larger items. The one downside was the delivery experience.
