This set is a solid choice if you need a compact, apartment-friendly dryer that still feels modern and capable. I was not prepared for how much extra space we were going to have! We can actually add shelving, which is a dream come true! What I liked • Space-saving design: Ideal for condos, apartments, and smaller homes where a full-size 27-inch unit won’t fit. • Good everyday performance: Handles typical weekly loads well (towels, tees, office wear) with consistent drying results. • Convenient features: Useful cycle options and sensor-based drying help reduce guesswork and prevent over-drying. • Quiet operation: Generally suitable for installs near living spaces. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This compact dryer has been such a nice addition for me. Just like the matching washer, I bought it for an upstairs laundry closet area where a normal size stacked washer and dryer just would not fit in my home. We are running the water lines next week and I honestly cant wait to get everything installed upstairs, but for now I’ve been trying it out in the basement and have been really impressed with it so far. One thing I had to learn at first is that heat pump dryers work differently than a traditional dryer. I was expecting clothes to come out feeling really hot, so at first I thought something was wrong, but once I read about how they work it made a lot more sense. It’s more energy efficient and much gentler on your clothes, which I really appreciate. The 40 minute quick cycle has been great for smaller loads, and I also love that you can set it to keep tumbling to help prevent wrinkles if you don’t unload it right away. The drum light is also a great feature and makes it much easier to see everything inside. Another thing I really like is the lint filter design. It has a nice double filter setup with very fine mesh that does a great job catching lint. I also love that this is ventless, because that opens up so many more options for where you can put it. It’s wonderful for spaces where you normally couldn’t install a dryer, and I also like that you can optionally hook it up to drain automatically instead of having to empty the water container. Another nice bonus is that it’s WiFi connected. I wouldn’t say that’s something I absolutely need, but it is really nice to have. Ok for what it is this dryer is awesome. I wanted a ventless solution since I had to move this to a room with no area for venting so I understand the limitations which are not ideal but for what it is, it works great. So what are those caveats? Ventless drying can't get rid of all the moisture because it's being recycled so the more moisture there is the hard it is to fully eliminate that moisture. For most things, clothing even a full load, it usually has no problems. But if you are drying a full blanket then you'll find that it takes maybe 2 full runs to get it completely dry. But lets be honest how often are we cleaning blankets? not that often so for most cases it's perfect. I kind of which I could have it auto drain into my washer drain pipe so i don't have to empty out the water tray so regularly but otherwise it's not a huge inconvenience. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung's Large Capacity Ventless Hybrid Heat Pump Electric Dryer with Wi-Fi (DV45DG6000HWA2) is a welcome addition to an aging laundry room. This dryer was made with large families and exhausted parents in clear focus! I love that I can just throw the clothes from the washer in, and trust it to have the right settings to dry without much more than hitting "start". If we had an upstairs closet, the ventless option here would warrant serious consideration for us bringing it there, so the family could easily pull items as needed. Since there is no vent, the water tank becomes the only hassle - but its not much of one - it requires a bit of care if you don't have an adjacent bathroom or laundry sink, since it is about 2.5' long. As others have said, it would have been a great option to have a setting to push the water out an optional hose (since it likely shares a room with your washer & the drain is most likely there already! My other suggestion is a better lint trap - this does a good job of collecting lint; however, the booklet design of nested filters makes cleaning it out a hassle vs older dryers where you could merely roll up the accumulated lint from the single-sheet mesh screen without ever leaving the dryer For each of these i'd deduct one star; however for the ease and benefit of the mobile application, energy monitoring/savings, and sensor drying, it grabs some back. I'm giving this 4.5/5 stars - only because it's such an obvious benefit that could have been realized to flush the tank automatically, does it not quite gain back the last half star.
