The biggest downside is that it’s fairly loud. Even after it’s finished making ice, the machine kicks back on roughly every 20 minutes to keep the ice cold, so it’s definitely noticeable if you have it in your kitchen or another main living area. Looks like a good ice maker. Got this one to replace the other ice maker we have. We have cleaning issues with the old ice maker and are hoping we don't have that with this machine. Great little ice maker. I love how slim it is in comparison to my previous maker. A fairly quiet unit and has been running for a few days now with no issues. The light on the inside is a nice feature and goes well with my led lit water dispenser at night for dim light. The door is a bit awkward but I’ll get used to it. My previous maker had a top lift door and it was easier to scoop the ice out - this one you have to pull the drawer out so far or all the way to access the ice.
