The cooktop works great, but I wanted induction. When I searched products by using the filters, this electric one was in the list. My fault for not double checking before I bought. The electric cooktop works great and heats food very quickly, but the surface is extremely hot, which is dangerously close to where my grandchildren sit at the counter. You will love the multiple sizes you can choose for the size pot or pan. It boils water fairly quickly. I like that you have to long press the buttons to turn on the elements so children wouldn’t accidentally turn on an element. I thought I would like not having knobs, but I have accidentally turned on a burner or two just wiping things off and sometimes the controls don’t pickup on the touch well. It provides a quick "on" with a bright visual response. It also offers heating elements with a power boil that accommodates various sizes of pots or pans and speeds up the boiling process. Hot surface indicator lights - heating elements have a "hot surface" indicator light to let you know when the element is too hot to touch (it continues to work if the element has been turned off).
