I needed an additional option for cooking meals while my kitchen is being remodeled. I decided to try the induction cooker after testing the features I have used it for boiling water, frying breakfast foods, sautéing veggies and frying various meats. We love this cooktop, easy to clean, heats quickly and better safety with young kids in the house. We love the large element which easily fits out large Dutch ovens. Never had an issue with our pans not getting recognized and the wifi and Chef Connect feature syncs flawlessly with our GE OTR lights and fan. This is a nice feature you normally only find in higher end brands. Overall love the performance! The only negative: The "Precission Cooking" is pretty useless, unless you have a bluetooth probe or niche smart pans which no longer support an app, this feature is useless so don't buy this cooktop if this is something you really want. On "con" = we find we're having to be extra-careful not to drag heavy pots across the cooktop (as we'd gotten used to doing on the very rugged cast iron grate of our gas cooktop at home) - this induction cooktop surface definitely feels more "delicate" than our gas cooktop grate. This stovetop arrived quickly. Setting it up was just a matter of plugging it in. I use it in my RV with limited electricity, so am thrilled that it takes very little power to cook on it. In fact, so far I've never had to turn it up anywhere near its max heat setting. Just barely on and I am able to saute. Clean up is a breeze. This is my first induction cooktop. Didn’t know what to expect, but I got to say, it is wonderful. It heats quickly and cooks evenly at different temperatures. The controls are easy to see and use. It has different settings, like simmering that works great. I really like the configuration of the controls as well. Did I mention how nice it looks on our counter, picture attached. When I got the cooktop it came with all the necessary instructions and warnings including how not to scratch the ceramic top.
