[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since receiving the Bissell CrossWave Edge Cordless, it’s become one the appliancesI use almost daily. Between my dog that sheds and tracks dirt in and toddler on the move, I reach for this tool constantly.
What I love most is how it vacuums and mops at the same time. Between dog hair, spilled snacks, and random sticky spots (thanks, toddler), I used to have to vacuum and then go back with a mop. Now it’s one pass and done, which saves a ton of time and energy. I find I am also less annoyed at cleaning messes now because I no longer have to take out an army of cleaning supplies, just the Bissel Crosswave Edge and the job is done in a few quick seconds.
It handles pet hair really well on hard floors, and the mopping function actually scrubs up dried-on messes instead of just pushing them around. That’s been huge for things like juice, yogurt, or muddy paw prints.
The cordless design is another big win. I can quickly grab it for a 5-minute cleanup after meals or let the toddler run around without dragging a cord everywhere. It’s easy enough that I actually clean more often instead of letting messes pile up.
A couple things to keep in mind:
It’s best on hard floors—it’ll do area rugs, but it’s not a deep carpet cleaner
The battery lasts around 30 to 40 minutes, which I found gave me adequate time to clean all the spaces I need while not lose cleaning power.
You do have to clean out the dirty water tank after each use or the black water will smell horrid if you let it sit.
For a busy home with pets and kids, it’s truly the biggest game-changer. It doesn’t replace a full vacuum for carpets, but for everyday messes, it makes keeping the floors clean way more manageable.
