After renting a washer and dryer for over four years, I am so happy to finally have my own set and that it’s from Wayfair! I did quite a bit of research before choosing which set to purchase, and GE consistently stood out as a trusted brand with a long-standing reputation. I purchased installation along with my washer and dryer, but unfortunately there was a mix-up. The set was delivered on time, but the driver’s paperwork didn’t show my installation package. After several calls with Wayfair, I ultimately decided to find my own technician to get everything installed. It wasn’t a step I expected to have to take, but Wayfair was apologetic and refunded me a nice amount, so I was satisfied with how they made it right. When it came to choosing a dryer, I really didn’t need anything overly complicated. I wasn’t looking for a touchscreen, WiFi connectivity, or a ton of high-tech features—I wanted something simple, reliable, and up-to-date enough to get the job done. It takes time to get used to it. Because is ventless it will heat up the room or space where the dryer is located. I found myself emptying the water tank twice after 5 loads. It does leave the clothes damp but you will just have to figure out the settings that works best for your clothes. Noise is minimal and the door is adjustable. We purchased the dryer and washer together and both have been great so far. I am only planning on speaking to the dryer though. First the positives, - The dryer uses heat pump tech, meaning no ventilation needed, which was a huge bonus for us. - It is noticeably gentler on clothes. - Dries clothes and comforters completely in a single cycle, without needing to rotate them. - It is very quiet, very different from what I've had in the past. - Lint trap is very easy to clean - With the app, it has a decent amount of features and customizations. - Looks very modern. Now the negatives, - Scatches easily. It already got a small scratch that happened during the install process. For the price, I'd expect better durability. - It take on average twice as long to dry clothes due to this being a ventless dryer.
